• Rich Lender, president and CEO of Your Building Centers, was elected to his first term on the Do it Best board of directors. Diana Newton, president of Bay Hardware, Lunada Bay Hardware, and South Bay Hardware; David Sturdivant, CFO of Russell Do it Center, and Bob Vaughan, CEO of Alamo Lumber, were re-elected to their second three-year terms on the board. Tim Post, co-owner of T&M Hardware & Rental Center, was re-elected to a third three-year term.
• The Home Depot appointed Molly Battin as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, effective October 3.
• L&W Supply promoted Zach Grubb to the role of branch manager of the distributor’s Winston-Salem, N.C., location.
• Do it Best announced the retirement of executive vice president of operations Steve Markley. Dent Johnson will serve as the organization’s new executive vice president of operations, Nick Talarico will serve as the executive vice president of sales and marketing, and Jason Stofleth will become the vice president of merchandising.

• TAL Holdings named Richard Anderson as chief financial officer and Renee Coffman as director of vendor relations and category management.
• Kasam Basha has joined Manufacturers Reserve Supply in the role of national accounts manager.
• Altenloh, Brinck & Co. US (ABC US), manufacturers of SPAX engineered fasteners, hired Loren Ross as a structural engineer for wood frame constructions.
• Envision Outdoor Living Products hired Doug Jerry as director of manufacturing.
• Epicor hired Jenny Victor as the company’s new chief marketing officer.
• The Kohler board of directors elected president and CEO Daivd Kohler to the additional role of chair of the board, following the passing of Herbert Kohler, Jr., on September 3.

• Building Industry Partners (BIP) welcomed Steve Shaffer as an operating partner, supporting BIP and the newly-formed Endeavor Fire Protection.
• VELUX Group appointed Lars Petersson as the company’s new CEO, replacing the retiring David Briggs.
• BlueLinx Holdings announced that Keith Haas and Marietta Edmunds Zakas were appointed as new directors by the company’s board of directors.
• Palmer-Donavin announced Josh Miller will lead the company’s new business analytics department. Additionally, Josh Thompson has been appointed the vice president of product management and Stephanie Kuntz has been named the director of marketing.

• The American Wood Council promoted David Tyree to the role of south central regional director of codes and regulations.
• The Lumbermen’s Association of Texas (LAT) named Greg Evans, owner at Redwoods, as its 2021 Dealer of the Year and Chris Agness, vice president at Lumber Insurance Services, as its 2021 Associate of the Year.
• Jonathan McGoran joined the VERSATEX Building Products market development team, covering the Maryland-D.C.-Northern Virginia region.
• Emery Jensen hired Brad Bailey as the company’s senior vice president of sales.
• Cornerstone Building Brands announced that Colleen Pritchett has joined the company as president, U.S. windows.

Chris Rivers, president at Parker’s Building Supply, and Cason Shrode, CEO at Cassity Jones Building Products, have joined LAT’s executive committee as second vice president and sergeant at arms. Jeld-Wen Holding announced its board of directors has accepted the resignation of chair and CEO Gary Michel. Russin hired Mike Catalina to the company’s outside sales team. TAMKO Building Products promoted longtime company executive Jeff Beyer to the role of chief operating officer.

• Kodiak Building Partners announced the retirement of chief human capital officer Sue Lords.
• WernerCo announced leadership changes for the North America Sales and Channel Marketing divisions: the company promoted Don Freeman to the role of president of the North America Professional Business Unit and promoted Kevin Blossom to the role of president of the North America Retail Business Unit.
