  • Nation’s Best Holdings named Jace Mattinson as chief operating officer across their coast to coast portfolio of lumber yards, home centers, and hardware stores.
  • Acme Tools announced Reid Anderson has been named director of operations.
  • Rival Holdings named Scott Campbell as its new senior corporate counsel.
  • The Lumbermen’s Association of Texas (LAT) announced Walter Foxworth will receive the inaugural LAT Lifetime Achievement Award. Additionally, Lynn Surls, chairman and president of Richardson Timbers has been selected by LAT as associate of the year.
  • Do it Best hired 10 team members and announced 17 internal promotions in September.
  • Josh Henrickson will succeed Wilson Lumber Company president and chief operating officer John Marshall in the same role beginning in the fourth quarter.

  • Duration Moulding & Millwork named Hannah Knapp as the company’s national sales director.
  • Commonwealth Building Supplies promoted Duran Wallace to the role of vice president of operations and Brent Burrows to the role of vice president of retail and sales.
  • Leviton promoted Brian Sorensen to the role of vice president of US sales, network solutions.

August 30

  • Parksite appointed Chris Swenson to its newly created role of vice president of human resources.
  • L&W Supply announced Rob Wood has joined the company as business development manager of its Northeast region.
  • Owens Corning appointed Nicolas Del Monaco as president of the company’s global insulation business, effective Sept. 15.
  • McCoy’s Building Supply appointed Joseph Martinez as store manager of its Lubbock, Texas, location. The dealer also promoted JohnBrown to the role of director of culture and customer experience, Trevor Cozier to the role of director of merchandising – commodities, and Luke Wonder to the role of director of strategic accounts.
  • ABC Supply named eight new vice presidents to its executive team: Julie Bies as vice president of internal audit; Mike Boggs as vice president of branch operations; Andrew Callaway as vice president of merchandising; Kerry Cloyd as vice president of customer financial services; Michael Kaechele as vice president of IT strategy and planning; Larry Sullivan as vice president of enterprise analytics; Rich Thompson as vice president of marketing; and Scott Towne as vice president of risk management.

  • Culpeper Wood Preservers hired Phil Fortson as the company’s new director of business development.
  • George Juergens, the second generation owner of Juergens Hardware in Huntington, Ind., passed away on August 14.
  • Kodiak Building Partners announced Bret Kelly as the senior vice president of Kodiak’s Northeast General Lumber division. Kelly will oversee operations at Goodrich Lumber, New England Building Supply, Ricci Lumber, and Shepley Wood Products.

August 16

  • Louisiana-Pacific appointed Gabriel Farias as the vice president of OSB manufacturing and promoted Landon Stephens to the role of director of OSB sales and marketing planning.
  • Texarkana Door & Window, a wholesale door operation, promoted Jim Bradley to the position of president.
  • Ambassador Supply named Randy Carma /n as the company’s new president, succeeding Brad Crawford. Crawford was recently named CEO of Rival Holdings, the parent company of Ambassador Supply.
  • L&W Supply announced the induction of 44 branch managers into its managing partner program.
  • ABC Supply promoted 83 branch managers to managing partners, the largest induction class in the history of the company. David Lumber & Hardware and Davis Truss announced that Cory Venable has been promoted to the role of company president.
  • Kodiak Building Partners appointed Stephen West as president of Zarsky Lumber Company.
  • Hy-Brid Lifts announced John Davis as the new director of sales, covering the south-central region of the United States.
  • Davis Lumber & Hardware promoted Ryan Porter to the position of store manager.

August 9

  • Red River Lumber named John Butler as the new company president.
  • BlueLinx Holdings appointed Todd Skaggs as the company’s regional vice president for the West region.
  • JELD-WEN Holding announced the appointment of Michael Hilton to its board of directors, effective August 3.

August 2

  • Andersen Corporation, manufacturer of windows and doors, appointed Andrea Nordaune as senior vice president, chief legal officer, and corporate secretary.
  • West Coast Lumber added Jason Walsh to its leadership team.

July 26

  • L&W Supply announced the promotion of five branch managers: Dewayne Richards in Bloomington, Ind.; Chris Vanderstappen in Fort Collins, Co.; Jesse Spurling in Indianapolis; Todd Thorlton in Terre Haute, Ind.; and Kevin Mancill in Flagstaff, Ariz.
  • The Lumbermen’s Association of Texas announced Kate Woodson Borroni has been elected as president of the LAT board of directors.
  • Greg Doppler, founder and president of Cornerstone Specialty Wood Products, announced plans to retire at the end of 2023.
  • Genesis Products appointed Chris Tutuska and Wayne Gordon to the product team at Funder, a division of Genesis Products acquired in January 2023. Gordon will serve as the product director – surfaces, while Tutuska will serve as a product director focused on thermally fused laminate panels and cabinet doors.
  • Kodiak Building Partners announced chief operating officer Mark Garboski will take on a reduced role as a strategic advisor within the company due to health-related reasons.
  • McCoy’s Building Supply promoted Manny Gonzalez to the role of regional manager, overseeing eight stores in Texas’s Rio Grande Valley.

  • CFC Construction appointed Sean Smith to the role of president.
  • BlueLinx Holdings announced senior vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer Kelly Janzen will be leaving the company. Andrew Wamser has been appointed as the senior vice president and chief financial officer-elect.
  • Davis Truss appointed Johnny Murphy as general manager.
  • Roseburg announced Grady Mulbery will retire from his position as president and chief executive officer, effective Sept. 30, 2023. As part of the leadership succession plan, Roseburg’s board of directors unanimously elected chief operating officer Stuart Gray to succeed Mulbery effective Oct. 1.

  • House-Hasson Hardware Company promoted Taylor Hasson to the role of vice president of strategic retail management.

  • Ernst & Young LLP has named US LBM president and CEO L.T. Gibson as its Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 Southeast Award winner.
  • Siwek Lumber Le Suer announced the addition of Shane Sinell, Jordan Sinell, and Ryan Schroer to the ownership group.
  • Atlas Roofing Corporation named Ken Roberts as the company’s new president, replacing the retiring Ken Farrish.
  • Do it Best Corp. hired four team members and internally promoted eight employees.
  • Kreg Tool Company promoted Donovan Fuhs to the role of vice president of information technology.
  • Altenloh, Brinck & Co US named Jason Beals as chief executive officer and Allyn Luce has been named chief operating officer.
  • Tibbetts Lumber hired James Brookover as the vice president of purchasing. John McKenna has been promoted to the role of purchasing manager for Lumbermen’s Merchandising Corporation’s millwork department.
  • Gulfeagle Supply promoted Brad Powers to the role of vice president of sales and operations for the Southeast, Bill Wilson to the role of vice president of sales and operations for the West, and Ben Zwolski to the role of regional manager for North and Central Florida. Additionally, the company appointed Kurt Schwahn to the role of executive vice president of sales and operations.
  • Andrew Bindl has been promoted to the role of Wisconsin District manager at ABC Supply, replacing the retiring Jeff Ploch.
