R.P. Lumber opened a new branch location in Mt. Vernon, Mo., its 17th store in Missouri and 83rd location overall.
“We’ve always done well in Midwestern towns like Mt. Vernon, and we’re excited to engage with the local communities and earn the respect of our customers,” Robert Plummer, president and CEO of R.P. Lumber, said in a news release. “We know we’ll have some strong competition, but we see this location as a great opportunity to fill a void and better serve the entire southwestern Missouri region.
R.P. Lumber opened its first location in Staunton, Ill., in 1977 and has expanded throughout the states of Illinois, Missouri, Wyoming, Iowa, and Wisconsin. The new Mt. Vernon store is located two miles from the 1-44 corridor.
R.P. Lumber offers lumber, shingles, siding, drywall, and other building materials as well as hardware merchandise ranging from power tools and paint to plumbing and electrical supplies.
