RDI by Barrette Outdoor Living entered a new distribution partnership with Galt, Calif.-based Building Material Distributors (BMD). BMD will distribute RDI’s aluminum and steel railing product lines, expanding the scope of RDI’s distribution footprint in the California market.
“BMD has a long history of expertise in the markets they serve,” Jay Penney, director of sales at Barrette Outdoor Living, said in a news release. “We foresee tremendous opportunities for both companies with this exciting new partnership as we continue to expand our position in the industry.”
For more than 75 years, BMD has been supplying lumberyards, dealers, home centers, and hardware stores with building products. The company serves as a wholesale distributor, manufacturer, and installation service provider for its customers.

Barrette Outdoor Living produces vinyl, aluminum, steel, and composite fencing and railing, composite decking, and other outdoor products through specialty retailers, home centers, and lumberyards. RDI by Barrette Outdoor Living manufactures low-maintenance outdoor railing solutions and decorative accents for both residential and commercial applications.
