Siding Predicted to Grow Steadily Over the Next Three Years

Freedonia expects 3% annual growth for the category through 2021

The Freedonia Group

Demand for siding in the United States is projected to grow 3% per year to total 101.5 million squares in 2021, according to a new forecast from the Freedonia Group.

The Cleveland-based research organization attributes growth to “a nationwide expansion in commercial building construction activity and increases in new housing completions in the South and West.”

Fiber cement will be among the most-demanded siding products according to the firm, and is predicted to grow 3.7% annually through 2021.

Freedonia’s Siding Market in the US, 17th Edition, is available for $5,600.
