Kodiak Building Partners announced that Tim Mahaffy is retiring from his position as president of Medallion Industries, effective June 30.

Mahaffy worked alongside the founder of Medallion Industries beginning when he was 17 and helped grow the company to become a major window, door, and millwork operation in the pacific northwest and northern California. Mahaffy became president of Medallion Industries and later became majority owner of the company.

The work of Mahaffy helped grow Medallion into a $40+ million operation. Mahaffy and the other owners at Medallion decided to sell the company in 2020 to Kodiak, with the company legacy and job security of employees major factors.

“I was confident that Kodiak would not reinvent Medallion, but only enhance it with additional support,” Mahaffy said.

Kevin Mahaffy will be promoted to president of Medallion Industries after most recently serving as the vice president of sales. The newly promoted president has been with the company for more than 20 years.

Medallion Industries is a distributor of windows, doors, glass wall systems, millwork, and door hardware serving the residential and light commercial markets with locations in Portland, Ore., Bend, Ore., and Livermore, Calif.

Highland Ranch, Co.-based Kodiak Building Partners operates more than 80 locations across Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
