True Value Names VP of Supply Chain

True Value Company appointed Dario Skocir as the company’s vice president of supply chain, effective Feb. 22. Skocir has more than three decades of experience transforming company’s operations with innovative technologies and processes related to warehouse, delivery, and fleet, according to True Value. Skocir joins the company from US Foods.

“As we look to position ourselves for continued growth, we are hyper-focused on ensuring we have the right talent in place to execute our strategic supply chain transformation,” True Value Company CEO Chris Kempa said in a news release. “Dario brings over 30 years of experience in developing and implementing best in class operations and will be a tremendous asset as we continue to be hardware retailers’ primary partner for their end to end product and supply chain needs.”

Skocir spent the past 12 years with US Foods, most recently serving as the senior vice president of distribution field operations. In the role, he was responsible for distribution, managing all functions related to warehousing, delivery, fleet, technology, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, the new True Value VP worked at UPS, accountable for multiple 24-hour package distribution operations facilities in the US network.

True Value announced Lyndsi Lee, senior vice president of supply chain, is leaving the distributor for a new opportunity.
