Westlake Royal Building Products completed its purchase of the Palight Trimboard business from Palram Americas. Kutztown, Pa.-based Palram is a manufacturer of extruded thermoplastic sheets, panel systems, and finished products.
Through the acquisition of Palight Trimboard product lines, Westlake Royal will expand its portfolio of brands offered under Westlake Royal Trim & Mouldings Solutions, according to the company.
“This strategic acquisition will add another high quality brand of PVC trimboard to our growing portfolio of building products,” Scott Szwejbka, vice president and general manager of Westlake Royal Building Products, said in a prepared statement.
Westlake Royal said the transaction builds upon a longstanding manufacturing relationship between the two companies. Manufacturing will continue to occur in Kutztown post-acquisition and Westlake Royal will assume responsibility for an existing manufacturing facility on the Palram campus.
“We anticipate a seamless transition of the production lines without disruption to customer support or supply, and we look forward to welcoming the associated Palram employees to the Westlake Royal team,”Szwejbka said.
