Most reports on the National Association of Home Builders’ survey on the new home in 2015 focused on expectations that the average home size will shrink to about 2,152 square feet, 10% smaller than what was built in 2010. That’s possible, though several decades of history tells us that once the economy resumes growing, houses do, too.
