Restructuring Charge Forces Near-Doubling of Georgia Gulf Building Segment’s 4Q Operating Loss

Georgia Gulf Corp.'s Building Products segment saw its operating loss for the fourth quarter nearly double from the year-earlier period to $11.6 million operating loss despite an 8.8% increase in net sales. The loss comes largely as the result of a $10.7 million charge from the company's halt of its fence product line.
