A Cincinnati-based tech firm known for its Lead Tool and 4me Group products announced that, effective today, it is changing its name to Stock Systems and expanding its product offerings for LBM dealers.
The name change “reflects the growth and future direction of the cloud-based platform, which now includes more than lead management and CRM,” the company said in a news release. Stock now will offer inventory management and logistics software, called Stock Inventory and Stock Logistics, respectively. Meanwhile, its existing customer relationship management (CRM) and sales pipeline management system, called Lead Tool, has been renamed as Stock Sales.
The venture was founded in 2013. It’s led by Chase Shiels and was co-founded by Dan Sheils. Dan owned and ran Charles F. Shiels & Co., a Cincinnati-based distributor of imported & domestic hardwoods with dry kiln facilities and a custom millwork operation. Chase oversaw oversaw inventory and equipment management at the company.

Stock Systems
Stock promotes its software “an industry-specific cloud based platform for businesses to run their operations from anywhere with an internet connection. Built entirely from scratch for the cloud, Stock’s apps use cutting edge technology to deliver an excellent experience for customers and users alike.”
Stock is one of several companies that have joined the competition for building material suppliers in recent years. In September, LBM Lift Off officially entered the market. Meanwhile, a British company, Kerridge Commercial Systems, has expanded its North American operations rapidly in the past two years and has begun signing up LBM dealers.
