Earlier this month, Burns & McDonell showcased a DJI Inspire 1 drone that is part a growing trend for infrastructure projects. The drones can be used to scout project sites, as well as monitor and inspect infrastructure projects during and after construction.
The manger of Burns & McDonell’s geospatial service, Steven Santovasi said that using the drones helped the firm build more than 200 miles of transmission lines in Canada.
